The Haiti School of Mercy is operated by Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC.
The Haiti Mission focuses on the physical and emotional well-being of residents of the Grison-Garde, Tovar and Latannerie communities in northern Haiti by providing medical care, medicines, nutritional supplements, food, and potable water.
The Robert Ford Haitian Orphanage & School Foundation was founded by Dr. Ray Ford and funded by his father, family and friends. The Foundation built and supports an orphanage which is home to over fifty orphans in Grison-Garde, near the Tovar Community Clinic. In addition, a school for 430 children has been built on the site, with lunch provided and subscribed by private contributions. More recently, a vocational school has been opened teaching skills, such as sewing, carpentry, welding, etc., to members of the Grison-Garde community.
New Hope for Haiti works to build durable economic and social development in Haiti through microcredit lending in the communities of Tovar, Dondon and Carmilot.
